M-37 body question

I have a 53 M-37 but it has a latter cab because it has holes on the drivers side for the spare tire mount.

It also has a hole in front of the drivers door where a port for a charger receptical was located. Now the question, did that charging port get mounted in the same place on a early M-37 cab?

The reason I ask is that I have a NOS charger receptical that I wanted to mount, but the wires are too short to reach the batteries in this location. So I wondered if the early cabs might have had this recepticle located at the back of the cab, or on the passenger side....where the wires probably would reach the batteries
