What a trip Indiana to Montana

My wife and I left last Wed to pick up a 68 D300 and a 68 W300 that was posted on this board. 3857 miles round trip without a problem other than TB, tired butt. My '01 got 14.3 mpg going out but only 8 coming back with a GVW of 25960 lbs. We did fair a little better once we got to the flat lands making 10mpg. The trucks we picked up are now in Auburn IN with a very happy owner. The W300 needs finished but you can't beat a western truck. The doors close like new with a solid thud. It has a 440 under the hood and a 9 ft Utiline bed with PERFECT dually fenders. The fenders may be coming up for sale as the truck is going to be single rear wheels. Beautiful country in Montana and Wyoming. Glad to be home for the 4th.
