Can't say about a professional. Maybe if he knew he would eventually be the professional hired later on to replace the hose and wanted to make it easier on himself when that time came.
I know I take the extra time and do it the hard way by putting it on after the radiator is in the truck to assure that I can get it off later if need be, but I am just an amateur and I am not under the gun working on the Warren Truck assembly line either.
