because buick engines make massive amounts of torque! and they last much longer than smoking small block chevies. ;/) Jeep ran them too in the 70s. I have only seen 3 dodges with them in 25 years. is that alot? I guess maybe. Buick even had a pancake straight 8 engine tranny system they sold to bus builders back in the inline days. torque monsters.
