Went to a cruise in this weekend and got to talking to the guy who parked next to me.

He asked if my truck was a military Dodge and I said yes. He then went on to ask if I had the original shaft hook ups to hook it to another truck. A bit confused I asked what he was referring to.

He then went on to tell me that most all of the WWII Dodges had shafts that went out the front and rear so with a simple universal hook up they could be connected truck to truck. He said in WWII they would them hook them all together at once so they could pull heavy loads and never get stuck.

I kept saying I NEVER heard of it or seen any evidence of it in the 100's of military Dodges I've seen and he acted like I was an idiot. It amazes me sometime what people come up with.

The only thing I could come up with is someone along the line saw a pic of a convoy and came up with the idea from that. Amazing.
