Considering what meth heads and others are capable of I'd be waiting with my Glock 10mm and 12 gauge assault shotgun. In Anchorage yesterday it took three cops to taser a guy three times and get him cuffed. When a 911 call is needed and police are many minutes away you have to do whatever is necessary to protect your family. At least that's the creed for most of us in AK.
