Your mention of the songs of each branch reminds me of my son's Airborn graduation ceremony. About three hundred soldiers and men from other branches marched in front of the reviewing stands, did a left face and listened while the loudspeaker played each one of the branch songs. When they got to the old familiar Army song last, representing 95% of those finishing training. They all sang the words lustily!
If you've never heard almost 300 men sing out with spirit, I can describe how great it was! Our kids who will still serve our country.
