I have never owned a truck with Bendix Weiss joints so I cannot comment on them, but Tracta joints ARE constant-velocity joints. They should cause NO hopping or lurching even when negotiating a full lock turn. If they do, then something is terribly wrong. They can wear out from lack of lubricant and become sloppy or otherwise become damaged. Many times worn axle shaft bushings can cause this problem and the joints get the blame.
