My question was:
I go through a Throttle Position Sensor every year. It always seems to start failing as I notice some dead zones in the pedal, then runs rough at constant pedal, then fails and won't keep the engine running.

What does/can cause them to fail on an annual basis? I don't use the truck that much, less than a 1,000 miles per year.

Their Answer was:
Thank you for contacting Holley. If you have voltage spikes, transient voltage feedback, or expose the sensor to water they will have premature failure. The TPS can also fail if the engine has extreme vibration. Thank you, Derek

So I guess if the engine bay can see moisture, or vibrations, you are just s__t out of luck. Now I guess I need to measure for voltage spikes, that occur on an annual cycle.

As always I DOD NOT recomend the Holley Pro-Junk'tion Throttle Body Fuel Injection System.
