I checked the 1967 Dodge Shop truck manual section on torque references.....no mention

I then went to the M37 TS on rebuilding the differential. This section directs as follow,
the Letters are reference to position on the exploded parts picture.

Insert Bolt, gear drive JJ
Put on Bolt Lock NN
Put on Drive Gear Nuts
Torque to 35-40 foot pounds
Bend over Gear, bolt locks over nut

In the ARB manual, I am sure you found the part on putting the ring gear on the differential. In some cases heat helps. I set my 4.89 ring gears on my wood stove air vents for about 30 minutes. They were hot enough I needed gloves. They dropped right in place
