But basically they're both the same only a gooseneck is a way cleaner installation.
My opposition to either is that they render the bed of your truck useless & either one...plan on losing an extra 25% off the price of your tow vehicle once it's had either installed in the bed...even if you've never towed anything with it.
I'm looking for a 98 12V truck for a friend right now & found him a MINT truck 1hr away...he won't buy it because there's holes from a 5th wheel. I bought a 2008 Duramax last year...$17K...5th wheel holes.
It's a big factor but they both tow so much nicer than a bumper pull. I wish I didn't need the room in the bed of my truck but that room to me is more important than the smoother ride.
