5th wheels (5er) are much more common in campers, and GN are more popular for flatbed trailers used in agricultural use. Either 5er, or GN are what is needed for pulling doubles. IMO I will choose a 5er or GN for all towing situations over a bumper pull, and I do pull my 40' GN trailer into Chicago from time to time. Having a hitch others do not also means fewer people can borrow it which translates to fewer repairs I must make.
