reading some of your posts about horse power and gas mileage leaves me wondering about axle ratio.
At the best with the slant six I could get 17 mpg. down hill with a tailwind. Now I have a two barrel poly with a rv type cam, running 3:91 gears, fun to rip around with but need something taller.
I put a close ratio four speed behind the poly that I got from Doug Cartwright and I have a 3:55 and a 2:71 carrier with sure grips. What do you think??
