So maybe I don't know much about trucks or California laws, but in PA here, the restrictions on some things are so confusing that they seem to contradict themselves. I was looking up laws on the DOT site for inspection to make a jacked-up truck legal. Some of the stuff basically said that if we pass one test, they can try something else that would make us fail. Example, bumper height is ok, but frame height isn't, etc. State laws are so vague and tricky that there's almost no use in trying to figure them out.
Oh, well. It's nice to hear that you finally got it to pass...somehow or another. The Man is still keeping us all down, but I guess it's all about the game (and how ya play it.)
