Hey Byron,sure it's possible, but not easy.
l put a Ramcharger gearbox on a 68 D300.
l used tie rod parts from 4000# coil spring
front end (72 & up).Yuo will need a tilt colunm,and an aftermarket double U-joint
intermediate shaft.Quite involved, but well worth the effort.if you want the details,
