the guys at mike's classic unimog in ny reccomend upgrading the unimog 4cyl engine with a 5 cylinder from a mercedes car. this might be a good solution for us powerwagon m-37 guys. 5 cylinders would be shorter than most 6s. maybe get the tranny from a unimog and the engine from a mercedes junk car. might be cheaper than a perkins or cummins 4bt or hercules transplant. charlie???
