I have seen modifications involving the cant of one or both of the differentials. This can be done by a good machinist(fabrication of u-bolt plates, etc)but proper care should be given to insure that lubrication is maintained as a certain amount of axle lubrication is resulting from oil slinging off the pinion assy...The modification to accomodate this situation involves reconfiguration of the filler plug hole, thereby bringing fluid level to it's original proximity.......
