One of my M-37s was reimported from Spain by White Owl parts company back in the 1980s. Spain must have gotten rid of all of it's M-37s at this time. I remember going up the White Owl parts company and seeing shipping containers full of M-37 parts. The parts were not new, but parts from cut up M-37s. They would ship the best trucks back for resell, and the rest they would cut up for parts.
I knew a dealer in New Jersey who would buy the WWII tow trucks in europe JUST for the booms and winches. The rest of the truck he would sell as scrap in europe.
