I have always wondered why the Townie had TWO receiver hitches on the FRONT bumper. The daughter of the orginal owner said that in 1971, the family took a 11 month vacation and toured through Canada with a boat on the roof and towing a 33 foot trailer. The trailer was so large it would have trouble almost anywhere they tried to park it. The dad would uncouple the trailer and then push the trailer into incredibly tight places using the Front hitches.
