And I need ideas.

I have a boarding ladder for my M101, and its the perfect hight. I plan on using the trailer for camping occasionally, and to load and unload stuff in the bed. How can I secure the ladder to the trailer?? My thoughts were to:

1. Get two more tailgate hinge tabs and mount them sideways and drill a hole thru the tabs of the ladder and bolt them in place. This pic shows them sitting on the tabs used for the tailgate pins.

2. I thought of cutting slits in the bottom of the tailgate so the tabs went thru the tailgate and rested on the bed, then drill holes in the bed to do the same bolting. I really don't wanna cut holes in the tailgate though.

My plan is to keep the tailgate up when camping, so id climb the ladder and go over the tailgate into the bed and vice versa.

Anyone got any good ideas on how to do this??

Thanks
Nick
