I finally got around to replacing a new oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket on my truck. I thought about doing it with the manifolds on, but I wanted to pull the manifold to fix the summer winter flapper that rusts in place for one season.

When I looked at the 1/4" NPT tapped hole on the front of the intake manifold, it was completely blocked with carbon! And this engine seems to run fine except for the oil spill it creates every time I park it.

So, I'm happy to report that it looks like I don't need to install new front and rear seals on the engine, with the new gaskets and this port unplugged it does not look like it drips any more!!!

Something goes better than expected for once!!

Wayne
