I would like to modify my statement: "I have a feeling that the rebuild job on
the mixing body might be the problem, given that it worked fine for awhile, then failed-even before you rebuilt the regulator."
It seems even more likely than a questionable rebuild job that a piece of debris has entered the mixing body, and become lodged in a perfectly restricting way.
If your torch worked fine, then it would seem like it should continue to work fine, unless something fouled it.
