Are there any refineries in the lower mainland, or does it come from Cherry Point in the US? I've been shocked at having to pay $4.20-$4.35 in the Seattle area. Gas is running $3.68-$3.88 in Montana/Idaho. I think ours can come from either Wyoming or Cherry Point, whereas in the Seattle area it almost all comes from Cherry Point, which I believe is still shut down on account of yet another explosion a few weeks ago.
They sure seem to have trouble with that refinery. Guy I know lost his brother in the big explosion there about 10 years ago, and there have been quite a few other accidents since then. Seems to me we not only need more refineries, so a whole region isn't dependent on just one refinery, but we need the ones we have run a bit more carefully.
