maybe you have a sire shorting out? did you drain your battery way down? the lower tha batttery gets the higher the amp output will be until the battery is charged back up. on a 6 volt system it takes many miles of running time to fully charge the bat because the cells are huge compared to your average 12 volt battery cell.
