I'm paying $4.75/gal in Kenai, AK. Our prices are high due to small demand and lack of processing facilities. I live 10 miles from a processing plant. Their trucks drive three hours north to deliver to Anchorage gas stations where the price is 30 cents less per gallon due to a larger market. Very frustrating.
The amount of oil and gas exploration we are seeing this year is more than we've had in many years. And a company is starting to look at fracking in central Alaska. I think within the next 2-5 years we'll see a lot more product coming out of Alaska.
