I like Optima 6V batteries. They tend to last 6 to 7 years. The price keeps increasing but I don't know why. The CVD input mentions adding tin to the lead as a bad thing, but that actually increases cost, so there must be a good reason. I believe tin in the plates reduces sulfation and hence increases longevity. Anyway, I have been using Optimas for more than twenty years in both my '53 PW and my '53 Chevy sedan. I am down to one for both, and it is easy to swap it from car to truck. The Odyessey is 50 lbs, and has no more cranking power or reserve than the Optima, which I can pull out with one hand. Another advantage, but one I have never used, is that two Optimas will fit in the battery tray. One could be a backup for an excursion, or you could connect them in parallel for double the amps. In series, you could get 12 volts also in case that would be needed.
My $125 (plus shipping) worth.
