OT, hog tie my dog to trim her toe nails?

One is so long it makes her limp, and that foot is so sore she won't let me touch it. The rest are just too long. Won't let me near those either. I tried running her on pavement by bike. Not wanting to drag her, I released the leash, she sat down and watched me ride away. Sat until I came back. She might be more likely to run if her nails were done. Darn high maintenance bitch. Next thing she'll want a hair-do.

I've been watching some U-tube videos of calf roping to get the hang of it before one of us gets hurt. Let's see- I should hide behind the door, shoe lace in my mouth, then jump out of the chute...

I don't mind the wrestling match, but that Patterdale Terrier is 25 pounds of Tasmanian Devil, with claws.

Any other ideas?
