You are remembering correctly. The model code for the swing out fender was
C for the conventional cab
N for diesel
T for tandem
6-7-8-9-1000 for GVW
thus a C600 would have been a gas single axle, probably a 318-3 or 361-3
The code for the tilt cab was L, thus this truck is a LNT1000
