Thats really up to the buyer. Dont forget that in most cases your buying at least a 20 year old engine, basically in unknown condition. My opinion is that 3K is crazy money, 2K is crazy money UNLESS you have absolute proof its a good engine and you hear/see it run.
There ae a lot of people trying to get rich on sellling 1 or 2 engines. Be careful
