Yea, it had me puzzled as well, but it was the only "federal" or USDOT reference I could find. I guess the state laws are the drivers.

You are right, they can always find something to write you up on. The truck has historic plates, so I'll likely be got for driving it in a non-historic aspect more than anything else.

I wasn't aware of the IL Dually Mud Flap requirement either, I have heard about the "D" plate twice a year inspection though. Wish I could fine a nice set of mud flaps for my Mega-Cab.

Thanks, Yea I'd love to see our trucks parked together, I'm sure the two would gather a lot of attention. Hope my wood gets done my next weekend, I need to get the bed done.
