If anyone is local to Long Island, NY.
I'll be there with my 1944 WC-51,and my friends cool WC-54 Ambulance. lot's of other stuff too !
Last years event was a success, and this years WWII Weeekend at Old Bethpage Village Restoration Park is going to be even bigger !MAY 19 & 20th . Sat 10-4, Sun 11-4 .
Imagine seeing/hearing/touching : A WWII Sherman Tank , 105mm "Long Tom" Artillery with M-4 High Speed Tractor,Dodge Weapons Carriers, Jeeps .
Fun for the kids too, as we are planning a short Obstacle course, to include hunting for land mines ( well, fake ones anyway )
Weapons displays, to include replica heavy, and light Browning machine guns on their tripods. See a squad of soldiers on patrol take out an enemy machine gun nest !
Weather permitting, there will be Genuine WWII Aircraft flyovers ( Courtesy of the American Airpower Museum)
We will be there Rain or Shine !
If you are a quality WWII Re-enactor, or have a collection of items/artifacts, vehicles that you are willing to display publicly, feel free to contact me, we may have room for more displays . Last years event was run with under 40 volunteers, we already have over 60 quality re-enactors signed up for this years event.
Blank firing weapons displays, tentage, Artifacts .Come smell the canvas, hear the engines, see what your Parents & Grandparents would have seen during their WWII war experience !
