I 'had' a 318LA in my 1970 FFPW driving into a NP-435 with 900x16 Tires. I was getting 13 mpg. It had a 2bbl carb and was a bone stock engine. I had all the power you could want.
I could climb up my mountain 1400 feet twists and turns in 4th gear. Its a wonderful combo.
