I put the relays on both sno-cats so that I could be absolutely sure everything was off if I was out in the boonies somewhere. You can't push-start a sno-cat, and it would be a long wait for someone to come around with jumper cables. Both sno-cats came with key switches, but the chance of someone stealing one is nil, while the chance of me dropping the keys in the snow and not being able to find them is much greater than nil. By having a hidden toggle switch I solve both problems. Just in case the relay gives out, I can connect the spade connectors on the wires together and bypass it.
