A. The trucking industry cannot recover all of their fuel costs. The shippers and receivers simply will not accept this.
B. In recent years the Feds have brow beat the oil companies into raising the price of diesel above gas. The reason? There are more cars (votes) than there are trucks.
C. Diesel is arrived at in the distillation process before gas. That is why it was cheaper before Federal interference in the market.
