So a heli coil set is 55 bucks. The machine shop suggests just step up one size bolt since its a self tapper. OK, sounds good, 3 bucks instead of 50.
So I go to Fastenal. Get the next size up self tappers. Screw them in, put it all back together........
THE #&@*!&$ THING STILL LEAKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF????!!!!!!
And its leaking from the halfs. The diaphragm is good, all the holes in it are good, no splits, no tears.
The electric is looking better and better
Now Im just really pissed.
So I call NAPA. They can get one, from LA, 15 buck freight charge, that hasta be paid up front and it cant be done over the phone, hafta pay in person.
