I picked up this motorcycle years ago in my 1949 Dodge Power Wagon.
Now it is time for it to go down the road.

The “Smart Money” column in the May 2012 CYCLE WORLD puts a high value on the 1969-1970 Honda CB750, $9500 to $22,000, too high for me to keep mine sitting silent in the barn. It isn’t sand-cast and it isn’t perfect; it has new paint and seat cover and tires, but everything else is untouched and all there, including the annoying one-into-four throttle cable and mellow four-into-four pipes. The original speedometer reads 29,874 miles; the original tachometer functions fine. The VIN plate says it was manufactured in Japan 12/69. After a few years of enjoyable but sedate riding, I drained all the gasoline and stored the bike away under cover in a dry barn on a wood floor. If you add gasoline and a new battery and give me $10,500, you can ride it home, or I’ll help you figure out some other way to pick it up.
