I have had mine covered with a tarp due to the window not being totally sealed yet. so no problems yet with water in the spark plug wells.
I have a remote switch installed in the front awl of the seat pedestal, right between my legs, kinda hidden from view for someone just looking in. Mine is also a marine battery cut off switch
