I saw a scout with a 4bt with a single u joint were the Guy built a bracket to attach the divorce mount t case rigidly to the transmission. I don't have a good reason but even on diesel driven pumps they always have two u joints. Wonder if you could use a flex coupling like a faulk or woods brand?
