I have a MoPar Parts List #DX-7627, dated MAY 1957. This list is titled: Chrysler Corporation - Export Division, Detroit 31, Michigan, U.S.A.

This list is for Dodge Truck - K Series, Fargo Truck - FK Series, and DeSoto Truck - SK Series, all 4 Wheel Drive models.

The DeSoto models covered are: SK-6-W100, SK-8-W100, SK-6-W200, SK-8-W200, SK-6-W300, SK-6-W500, and SK-8-500. These are both 6-cylinder and 8-cylinder engined W100, W200, and W500 models, and the old military style 6-cylinder W300 1-ton model.

The Fargo models in this list are all FK-*-W*** variants and the Dodge, of course, are K-*-W*** variants.

So it would appear that not all DeSoto badging for Power Giants and other Power Wagons were applied at the distributor level as the models were Chrysler assigned and the parts were available through the Export Division.

Some may have also noticed that in the "Power-Wagon 6-Volt Auto-Lite Cross-Reference" listing on Phil's t137 site, that some of components are listed to fit "DEX-2" models. These trucks were the DeSoto equivalent of the Dodge WDX, B1PW, and B2PW models.
