the civilian mopar cars and trucks all had fine thread everywhere also. except in castings and a few other places. it was just the way they did it. I am using a core support for an engine running stand that I pulled out of a 49 1/2 ton civi truck adn all the bolt holes are fine thread. dont know when they stopped doing that way. maybe the late 50s early 60s on civi stuff. PWs probably had fine thread all the way till the end.
