Dave Fenner's FORKENSTEIN is a very similar idea, but based on a half ton WC and with only the one steering axle.
I never did find out where the mast assembly and stuff was made for that - wouldn't be surprised if it was the same age as the original vehicle and it had just been knocked together by a base workshop setup, as Daryl says.
