Remove any burrs , heat the chuck up to a couple of hundred degrees - some use boiling water - red loctite the friction fit and slam the chuck against the table a few times . The friction fit needs to be clean and dry . had an old one in the shop that nothing would keep it on until I replaced the chuck .
