Front and rear. Never side to side or you will be in the ditch or into incoming traffic if one circuit fails.

I would have the front on its own circuit. The front always does most of the braking. Put the 2 rear axles on a single circuit. Be sure to use an adjusting valve on the rear axles to slightly reduce the the line pressure. This will help reduce the rear from locking up and coming around on you. If you mix front and rear you will have the rear locking up.

You can have much more braking force on the front axle as the truck weight shifts onto the front axle in a hard stop and is less likely to lock up. The rear axles will lock up as they will have weight shifted off of them as the nose of the truck dives downward.

I would definitely go with a Hydroboost system on your truck. Look at what Paul in NY has on his web site. I had a vacuum booster in my carryall at first and had OK brakes. I put the hydroboost system in and it was a 1000% better system. I can lock up all 4 Michelin 9.00 X 16 XLs at 60 MPH with very good control. All I can say is that the Michelins sure put out a lot of smoke and really stink when you lock them up. I was cut off by idiots both times when I locked them up.
