I picked up some PickleX from Glen too. I started using it and read the label and began to wonder about it. After talking with the "engineer,maker,tech,shipper,salesman" (all the same guy working out of his house) I never used it again.
He told me stuff like, water will ruin it and void it's effectiveness. Then he tells me to wipe off the excess with water. Till it was done it works if you seal it good enough that water NEVER gets to it. ANYTHING won't rust if water never gets to it.
I did my own test on a piece of bare steel. Half with pickleX and the other half bare. The PickleX side rusted WORSE after 6 months outside. That was enough for me. The jug is sitting in the shop in the way now ;)
