True Michael...however I'm just personally refusing to pay $2000+ for tires that wear twice as fast as any other tired I've used. I'm happy with the 10.00x20's that are the same diameter yet can be had for closer to $150/tire.
So, the reason for installing these on a PW you ask? Several reasons. On a WDX, they were built as farm tractors to travel gravel roads at 45mph & have basically no suspension. Installing an 11.00x16 makes the truck ride like a Cadillac, stop better than any bias ply on the planet & you gain 10mph on the flat.
What more could I ask for?
Well I'll tell you what...a tubeless 20" rim where even with the big 39" tires installed...they still weigh considerably less than a budd rim with an NDT on it & you're the one constantly talking about tire mass! :)
On top of all that...I think 90% on this forum agree the 11.00x16 just looks way better on these trucks with their giant fenders.
That's what I think anyway.
