Kaegi
I just came across your question on enlarging the wheel center for hubs.
A few years ago, I saw a guy enlarging a hole in a granite countertop. It only had to be about a 1/16th of an inch. He used an abrasive hole saw with a barrell the same diameter as the existing hole, placed it in the hole from underneath w/ the arbor sticking up thru the hole, attached the drill, and then pulled the hole saw back up thru the hole about half way and then he reversed the setup and pulled it down thru the hole. The cutting edge of the saw was just enough larger than the barrel to ream out the hole in the granite and no chips or scratches on the surface.
I don't know if you could find a metal cutting hole saw that would have a set on the teeth but its a thought. Ron
