I do not think these WWII jeeps were dumped into the sea. They look to be in a holding area to be shipped to Japan for rebuild. During the Korean war, a masive rebuild program was started in Japan to rebuild equipment that was lift on the islands during the war. There is a great photo of Dodge weapons carriers that are half stacked on top of each other waiting to go into rebuild. The rebuild program was a win, win program. We got our busted, rusted out equipment rebuilt back to new condition.
