Doug is correct as far as he went. The earlier 383's prior to '69 used a bell housing with mounts on it, hydraulic clutch actuation and a different flywheel. I think 183 or 184 tooth if I recall. This bell also requires a trans with a longer stick out input shaft. You need the later ('69-'71) bell with manual clutch linkage and matching flywheel. Later flywheels and bells may work also.

I have a '67 W200, original BB. Now has a 400 block w/440 crank and .030 overbore. Makes it 450 CID.
