Flat and square is cheaper than curved and bowed.

I've got a concept floating around in the back of my mind for a steel framed woody. Square tubing, curved both ways for the top corner stringers, curved one way for the bottom stringers, mandrel bends for the rear corners. Use a roof cut out of a van or suburban for longevity/water tightness, weld it to the frame.

Cover it all with compound curved bent laminations, think plywood like a boat hull. Ribbon or Feather grain mahogany of course.

How much do you think one man/year of hours would be worth? I get tired every time I think of it to this stage.
