Dozerman is right. There is a big difference between a professional and an expert. Being one does not guarantee being the other also. As for the axle build and its complexity, complexity is a matter of opinion. But remember this, man designed it. Man put it together how many years ago without some of the fancy tooling we have today. So with that said, man can rebuild it. Some jobs are indeed harder than others, but man built it all, it wasn't built by aliens. And the men that built it learned the same way as you will and should...by doing it.
